Project Manager - Design

What you will do?

  • On behalf of project owner, manage overall design activities in different phases, including due diligence, conceptual, schematic, preliminary, detailed and construction design.
  • Develop and maintain design specification of Volvo Cars in China, per corporate requirements and guidelines.
  • Liaison between project team and internal stakeholders, to collect and consolidate business requirements, and ensure the fulfilment of these requirements in different design phases.
  • Organize and conduct design reviews in different stages, to ensure the compliance of local standards and corporate design requirements.
  • Collaborate with project team members to ensure overall project schedule and cost objectives are satisfied.
  • Monitor and verify construction site completions to ensure the fulfilment of design results.
  • Identify and implement value engineering opportunities to ensure cost optimization.

 

Why do you fit the profile?

  • Education background in architecture, interior design, or urban planning or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 10 years professional experience in architecture/interior design, with at least 3 years professional experience in design institutes or agencies.
  • Comprehensive and solid knowledge of local design standards, especially fire codes.
  • Understanding style and philosophy of Scandinavian design.
  • Proficient to communicate in English and Chinese Mandarin.
  • Solid project experiences of commercial or industrial campus of at least 100 ksqm.
  • Certificate of architecture, interior design, or related field.
  • Sound knowledge in shopping drawing on construction site.
  • Strong capability to understand and manage stakeholder requirements.
  • Strong hand-on experience with design tools including AutoCAD and SketchUp.
  • Self-motivated and strong commitment to design results.
  • High integrity and ethical leadership.
