Summary of the role:
Volvo Cars aims to be the fastest transformer within the automotive industry. This specially includes the transformation to become a software company. The software quality strategy manager will support our company mission to quality assure software and new functions before they reach our customers.

What you will do?

• Lead the China software Quality strategy deployment in close collaboration together with the quality teams, product development teams, digital teams, and other business stakeholders.
• Develop and drive strategic initiatives to assure software quality throughout the complete software development, integration and delivery process.
• Support the build-up of a software factory, to secure the right process, methods and tools to achieve best in class product quality.
• Drive problem solving and continuous learning by working closely together with the quality data analytics teams to turn insights and conclusions into actions and continuous improvements.
• Drive development and visualisation of effective metrics to measure the performance of the software assurance process. 
• Support ad-hoc investigation related to strategic initiatives or software quality top concerns.

• Master’s degree in software, computer science or equivalent.
• Background in software design, architecture, development, integration, testing or similar. 
• Experience of working with big data platforms and cloud-based environments.
• Experience from working with software product teams within the automotive industry.
• Courage to take the initiative and drive for progress.
• Comfortable in leading others.
• Able to work with multiple stakeholders and comfortable in presenting findings and insights in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong passion for driving quality and customer experience.
• A team player with strong collaboration skills and willingness to share experiences.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) in local language and fluency in English.
