Senior Lead Engineer - Planning & Parts Management

Purpose
- Support Head of Commercial Car Team for planning and parts management
- Frequent communication with program and NSCs for planning & deliveries
- Frequent communication with Chengdu, Daqing, Geely factories for show-level vehicle build
- Meet technical support workshops needs for spare parts, tools, consumables, workwear, and chemicals
Main tasks
- Develop commercial car preparations planning, coordinate and align internally with the Commercial Launch Team within NSCs and APAC Program.
- Support commercial car repurpose program, master the execution, track milestones, review technical detail with R&D
- Collaborate with R&D, CVE and factories for special patch delivery and refabrication
- Organize interior and exterior appearance evaluation with design team and manage dynamic performance evaluation with attribute team. Following by collaborate with factory and procurement for justification before sign-off
- Produce part numbers, create SOR and order unique accessories for show car delivery
- PO issuing, cost tracking and budget controlling
- Manage all car and part delivery logistics (insurance) with relevant internal stakeholders
- ATA Carnet tracking
- Material preparation and support in the preparation of pre-series cars
- Administer, order spare parts, tools, consumables, work clothes and chemicals through local and regional suppliers
- Monitor materials to technicians.
- Order consumables for the storage rooms at TSW
- Manage distribute returns.
- Coordination and planning of materials/spare parts for event/activity
- Material support on site during ongoing events and activities
Liability
- To administer orders according to documentation from internal customers
- Ensuring volume and balance, as well as ordering consumables
- Responsible for structure and that inventory is carried out in storage at TSW
- Responsibility for chemicals for TSW
- Material and tool ordering in the SRM system
Powers
- Request quotes from external suppliers
- To independently manage the funds/resources allocated to the mission
- To independently take measures necessary to achieve the objectives set within a given framework
- Suspending work if safety cannot be guaranteed
Profile
- 5+ years of solid experience from OEM, deeply involved at least 1 EV development within PM, or R&D, or manufacturing
- Proven working experience as a project coordinator (minimum) in automotive industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electric Engineering
- Show car build, reveal or exhibition experience is a plus
- Proven vendor management experience
- Expert in budget formulation, cost tracking & controlling, vendor management from the commercial side, PO issuing
- CATIA is essential
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Computer savvy, proficient in MS Office
- Great accuracy regarding product quality and quality work
- Be creative and flexible
- Good oral and written proficiency in Chinese and English
- Good marketing planning and experiential development experience
- Car driving license
