IT Business Analyst

Our business since its inception in 1991 has been to develop the best retail dealer system and information services for the automotive industry. In the current situation, we have about 100 employees with expertise in areas such as automotive trade, project management, systems and IT. Some of our largest customers are Volvo, Renault and Ford dealers and their general agents and today we have over 10 000 users of our solutions. We are seated in beautiful, newly renovated premises at Lindholmen in Gothenburg. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Volvo Car Sweden.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting establishment of strategies for achieving desired future business state.
  2. Leading and performing concept studies, pre-studies, including problem/opportunity analysis.
  3. Drive the site requirement alignment and solution creation from cross functions.
  4. Facilitating workshops with stakeholders for business modelling, needs analysis and backlog creation.
  5. Analyzing and breaking down needs, including impact mapping and dependency analysis.
  6. Supporting refinement of the product backlog and ensuring that the right information is available to the dev team in the right level of detail at the right time. 
  7. Collaborating with subject matter experts to research business and technology domains appropriate to solution definition. 
  8. Lead the solution implementation and improvement onsite.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Good understanding of business pain-points explore business requirement and provide solutions that can be implemented. 
  2. An excellent ability to pinpoint value creating activities connected towards a vision.
  3. Ability to achieve great results on complex activities with a holistic responsibility, including capability to divide, delegate and supervise smaller assignments. 
  4. Analytical Skills – Ability to visualize and conceptualize gathered information in a structured way. Capability to identify key aspects. Capacity to get a holistic viewpoint and understand the included parts and their relationship.
  5. Critical thinking and problem solving - Ability to evaluate and examine a situation from different perspectives creating a base for decision making. Capacity to identify, mitigate and decide on solutions when facing obstacles in your assignment.
  6. Documentation and specification skills - Ability to document and specify relevant information in a structured and concise way. Using an understandable language fit for purpose. Capacity to graphically document and visualize needed artefacts.
  7. Good oral/written English skills.  

 
Competence Required:

  1. Familiar with manufacturing process and good knowledge of the MES solutions, could independent analysis and summary business requirements.
  2. Auto industry know-how of data driven insights and data modelling in manufacturing area.
  3. Backlog Management - Backlog refinement including requirements decomposition through impact analysis, user story slicing and splitting.
  4. Good knowledge and experience with Windows Server, Linux, OpenShift and oracle DB, Automobile industry background and JAVA/Python development experience are plus.
  5. Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability
  6. Knowledge in agile and lean software development (ways of working).
  7. Communicative and collaboration oriented; effective in solving conflicts with an ability to develop trust among stakeholders. 
  8. Being self-motivated and having a strong driving force.
  9. Excellent communication, relationship skills and a strong team player.
