We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with frontend focus to join our team In-Store Digital and Online Retail,  part of the Commercial Digital area. Our Mission as a team is to contribute to the Commercial Digital and overall Volvo Cars goals of reaching retail excellence, and we do that by designing curated digital solutions that enhance the end-to-end customer shopping experience and foster a harmonious integration of online and offline retail channels. And this is an opportunity to shape the products with your expertise.  

 

In this role, you’ll work closely with our engineering manager, contributing to technical direction such as driving best practices, and guiding other team members. You’ll be part of a high-impact product team, working with technologies like React, Next.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL to deliver seamless and user-focused experiences. 

What you will do

 

You will be developing software for consumer-facing and internal products used worldwide. Your responsibilities will include rapid development of prototypes/concepts, and regular product development. 

 

You will collaborate closely with designer, engineers, engineering manager and product manager to translate user needs and business requirements into innovative software solutions. Your dedication to continuous improvement will be evident as you contribute to refining our development processes and enhancing product quality. By actively seeking feedback, staying up-to-date with industry best practices, and leveraging emerging technologies, you'll help ensure that our team remains efficient and innovative. 

What you will bring

 

We are seeking an Experienced Full Stack Engineer with a minimum of 8 years in software development. The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud technologies, particularly Kubernetes and Azure/AWS. Expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and front-end development is essential, along with experience in GraphQL, micro frontends, and headless CMS.

 

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver innovative solutions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are crucial, as you'll be working in cross-functional teams. We value individuals who can work autonomously in a dynamic environment and have experience with continuous delivery and an iterative development mindset.

 

Proficiency in writing clean, testable, and scalable code is a must, as is familiarity with data-driven product development. We're looking for someone who takes an empathetic approach towards users and colleagues, and possesses a growth mindset with a willingness to learn and teach others.
