Who we are:
Our team works with the global Product Information Management (PIM) system for our new online business. This system contains commercial product content for all markets and technical data for all products. We are at the centre of our e-commerce delivery, ensuring that our customers have access to the most accurate and up-to-date product information.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with the team to maintain and enhance the accuracy and quality of commercial product content and technical data across global markets.
- Drive the development and optimization of backend services, leveraging .NET, C#, and Node.js with TypeScript to support scalable and high-performance applications.
- Implement and manage integrations, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility.
- Build and refine messaging solutions using Kafka to facilitate robust and reliable communication between systems.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers, offering guidance in best practices for code quality, design patterns, and effective problem-solving.
- Take ownership of system reliability and performance by setting up monitoring, logging, and metrics tools, fostering a proactive approach to system health.
Who you are:
- You have extensive experience with .NET and C# and are probably familiar with multiple backend frameworks.
- You have a strong background in TypeScript, Node.js and GraphQL.
- You are proficient with PostgreSQL and have experience with messaging platforms like Kafka.
- You have a fundamental knowledge of networking and are comfortable with shell scripting.
- You have hands-on experience with logging, monitoring, and metrics tools.
- You have hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes.
- You are a curious, collaborative professional eager to share insights, give meaningful feedback, and bring a sense of fun to work.
