This role will be part of our Singapore Tech Hub team, as a new start up organization, you will work with tech leads to mature advanced power electronic technologies, accelerate the industrialization process, and make an impact to the future EV business.

What you'll do
- Work in a fast paced environment to come up with advanced power electronic control strategies for EV propulsion and power conversion applications;
- Design and realize proof-of-concept prototypes in alignment with company directions;
- Working with team leads, identify business case for emerging power electronic technologies for EV propulsion and power conversion, and mature the technology for industrialization;
- Derive hierarchical requirement specifications from vehicle propulsion and power conversion technologies and plan for validations following the V-model;
- Mathematical modelling of electric machine, inverters, dc/dc converters and derive optimal digital control arrangement in model-based design approach;
- Set up and perform extensive hardware experiments including open loop and closed loop tests to validate advanced power electronic control concepts;
- Horizon-scanning for emerging power electronic control technologies to increase the power density and efficiency while minimizing the cost;
- Prepare technical documentation and presentations for progress update and gate reviews
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering with 5+ years’ experience working with power electronic converters. PhD holders in relevant field with less experience will also be considered;
- Sound knowledge with power electronic control including PWM modulation methods, control loop fine-tuning and digital controller implementation;
- Good knowledge with AC/DC and DC/DC power converter topologies such as two level and multi-level, isolated and non-isolated etc;
- Good knowledge with dynamic modelling of electric machine and power converters;
- Fluent with simulation tools including Matlab/Simulink, SPICE, PLECS and PSIM;
- Good experience with ADC converters, analogue/digital filtering techniques and digital signal processing;
- Problem-solving spirit with self-motivation and open-mindedness;
- Good English spoken and written skills;
- Candidates with higher qualifications or experiences would be considered for senior positions.
