Our business since its inception in 1991 has been to develop the best retail dealer system and information services for the automotive industry. In the current situation, we have about 100 employees with expertise in areas such as automotive trade, project management, systems and IT. Some of our largest customers are Volvo, Renault and Ford dealers and their general agents and today we have over 10 000 users of our solutions. We are seated in beautiful, newly renovated premises at Lindholmen in Gothenburg. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Volvo Car Sweden.

The Propose for The Position
AI/ML/Data Analytics team is looking for a skilled and motivated data scientist to build innovative models to shape the future of Volvo Cars AD&ADAS products. This role will work closely with the management team to drive innovation, enhance customer experiences, and contribute to our mission of sustainability and excellence. Reporting to the tech leader, you’ll leverage data-driven insights to optimize processes, develop predictive models, and create value for our customers. What you'll do
- Conduct research and development on automotive related products (e.g. LLM, AD / ADAS), using AI / ML / DL based technologies to successfully launch new and support existing products.
- Contribute to research from concepts to feasible output through Proof-of-Concept projects to determine the viability of ideas and technologies leveraging AI/ML/DL.
- Contribute to data governance frameworks to leverage AI across the product life cycle.
- Conduct experiments and research into unlocking the value of data within our product ecosystem.
- Develop various methodologies to improve performance of ML algorithm under the circumstance of data insufficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and product managers, to design and deploy innovative solutions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, staying updated on current and emerging AI technologies and their impact on the business.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI / ML / DL and apply them to ongoing projects.
What you'll bring
- Master's degree or above in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science.
- Minimum 3 years of practical industry experience in the field of AI.
- Proficiency in Python and DL related frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong foundation in AI / ML model development, integration, and deployment, with experience in using frameworks and technologies related to AI / ML and Deep Learning. Advanced NLP techniques are a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience collaborating with global and cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in high-performing teams recognized for their results, intellectual contributions, and teamwork.
- Self-driven and result-oriented person.
- Good communication skills across a variety of audiences (e.g. Stakeholders, S/W teams, ...)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in integrating AI technologies into automotive products.
- Experience with large language models (e.g., GPT, BERT) and their applications.
