Let's introduce ourselves

You job is to ensure that our products and services are safe and legally compliant on the Chinese market. You will work in the corporate quality team located in the Volvo Car APAC headquarters in Shanghai. You will be part of a team, working close with colleagues both in China and Sweden, yet work independently and be accountable for driving and delivering within your area of responsibility.

What you'll do

  • Proactively monitor & understand upcoming product compliance related regulation/standards & legal requirement for the China after market. Work close with regulatory & government affairs teams to understand the impact to company business & lead internal Volvo & Geely teams to take action to comply with these requirements.
  • Monitor & analyse customer complaints to authorities with the purpose to identify & proactively take actions on business-critical concerns, both related to improvements of products and customer relations processes.
  • Lead authority inquiries and investigations, as well as driving internal investigations of potential product compliance issues and work close with Product Quality Improvement, Engineering, HQ Product Compliance Office, China regulatory affairs, government affairs, service business, parts supply, NSC, retailers and other teams to ensure accountability and that necessary actions are taken.
  • Ensure that the organization is continuously educated on product liability and ensure that relevant teams are aware and can act according to our internal policies.
  • Take a senior & strategic approach on product compliance and proactively build & maintain relations to authorities in China.
  • Continuously update and give advice to Head of Quality APAC & Head of global PCO to make correct judgements, steer and continuously improve the compliance handling process.

  • Comfortable in leading others and ensure accountability
  • Able to work with multiple stakeholders and comfortable in presenting findings and insights in a clear and concise manner
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to relentless change
  • A team player with strong collaboration skills and ability to build trust
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) in Chinese and fluency in English
