Engineer, Battery Hardware Developer

Our business since its inception in 1991 has been to develop the best retail dealer system and information services for the automotive industry. In the current situation, we have about 100 employees with expertise in areas such as automotive trade, project management, systems and IT. Some of our largest customers are Volvo, Renault and Ford dealers and their general agents and today we have over 10 000 users of our solutions. What you will do?

Your scope of work involves engineering work for battery development in cooperation with selected supplier.

As a Cell Engineer, you will coordinate and lead the cell introduction work within your area of responsibility to reach the objectives and secure the deliveries ensuring a design fulfilling performance, life requirements, quality, safety and cost, based on identified cell ageing mechanisms, life test data, customer analysis and field data.

You will be the main contact in China regarding to time plans, design, testing and cost to our cell suppliers and work in close cooperation with other teams within our organization such as SW, CAE, testing, module, quality or system team.

You will also lead the verification of battery cells ensuring the design and attribute fulfilment.

You will also be sourcing responsible when applicable.

You will work with cross-functional synergy in all cadence level Collaborate with Swedish colleagues with a high degree of interaction.

Basic technical qualifications in detail

  • MSc degree or above in Chemistry/material science/ mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Competence within Li-ion and/or related battery technologies with focus on product development of battery cell is preferred
  • Practical experience as a cell engineer, as well as project management experience from or with battery suppliers/OEMs and /or experience from automotive industry is preferred
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.

 

Personal skills qualifications in detail

  • Driver's license
  • Good English skills read/write and oral and preferably also in Swedish
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • General IT knowledge, including MS office, MS Project, AutoCAD.
  • Has “can-do” spirit, strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
