What you'll do
3D Craft Excellence
- Lead complex modeling work including vehicles, environments, 3D maps, SR (Surround View) scenes, camera-based 3D elements, and UI-driven 3D components.
- Develop advanced physically-based materials (PBR) and shaders with exceptional realism and artistic precision.
- Set up lighting that enhances depth, mood, clarity, and functional legibility across different HMI use cases.
Surround View (SR) & Vehicle Visualization
- Design realistic and performant 3D vehicle models, ground surfaces, parking environments, and sensor-driven scenes.
- Collaborate with perception and engineering teams to translate sensor data into intuitive visual representations.
- Ensure SR visuals meet safety requirements while delivering premium aesthetic quality.
- Understand SR pipelines (top view, 3D view, stitched camera content) and how 3D assets integrate with camera feeds and driving assistance features.
- Collaborate with ADAS engineers to align visual design with sensor behavior, detection accuracy, and safety constraints.
- Evolve visual semantics for different object types (size, behavior, animation, visibility).
Creative Exploration & Visual Direction
- Transform UX concepts into expressive 3D visual storytelling across multiple screens.
- Propose new creative directions, visual languages, and experimental design explorations that elevate the brand.
- Develop visual prototypes, animations, and atmospheric visual experiences for design reviews.
Pipeline, Optimization, and Integration
- Work with engineers and technical artists to ensure 3D content meets performance budgets (memory, rendering, frame rate).
- Maintain consistency of 3D assets across different hardware performance levels and display specs.
- Build 3D quality guidelines, documentation, and best practices for the team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with UI/UX designers, motion designers, interaction designers, and engineering teams.
- Support design sprints, reviews, and stakeholder presentations with high-quality visual outputs.
What you'll bring
Required
- 7+ years of professional 3D experience in automotive, gaming, film, visualization, or real-time simulation.
- Expert-level skills in modeling, lighting, shading, and materials.
- Strong experience with vehicle visualization, 3D environments, SR (Surround View) scenes, or real-time rendering for technical products.
- Proficiency with tools like: Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema4D, Houdini, Substance Painter/Designer, Unreal Engine, Unity
- Deep understanding of PBR pipelines, real-time optimization, and shader fundamentals.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both technical mastery and creative exploration.
- Ability to articulate design decisions clearly and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred
- Automotive HMI background or experience designing 3D content for cluster, center screen, Passenger Screens.
- Knowledge in SR pipeline, camera stitching, or ADAS visualization workflows.
- Experience working with technical constraints of in-car hardware or embedded systems.
- Familiarity with shader graph, HLSL/GLSL, or VFX tools.
- Passion for innovation, exploration, and pushing 3D visual quality in real-time environments.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Digital Media, Computer Graphics, Animation, Game Art, Visual Communication, or related fields.
- Equivalent professional experience and portfolio excellence may also be considered.
