In this position you will gain exposure to a wide range of company level strategic projects, work closely with our related parties, i.e. Geely Group, Sweden Collaborations team, China local cross function teams. This role is to drive our strategic collaboration initiatives and expand our business horizons.

What you'll do

The Director of Strategic Partnership will play a crucial role in identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships that align with our company's business objectives and growth strategies. This position will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with Geely Group, facilitating collaborative projects, and maximizing the value derived from these partnerships to enhance our competitive advantage in the marketplace.

• Act as the gateway between Volvo Cars and Geely Group.
• Lead the process of structuring and finalizing partnership contract between Volvo Cars and Geely Group, managing agreed contracts. Govern that we fulfill arm lengths principle in order to ensure no illegal value transfer.
• Change management related to agreed contacts.
• Establish and maintain regular communication channels with partners at various levels, from senior executives to operational teams, to foster a positive and collaborative working relationship.
• Initiate contact with Geely Group, conduct initial meetings and negotiations to explore partnership opportunities.
• Present partnership-related insights and recommendations at internal meetings, contributing to strategic decision-making processes within the company.
• Drive innovation through collaborative initiatives, encouraging partners to explore new business models and creative solutions that can enhance our collective competitiveness.
• Collaborate with internal department to ensure seamless integration of partnership activities into our existing business processes.
• Support knowledge transfer of contractual terms and principles within Volvo Cars organization in China.

What you'll bring

We are looking for a person with great experience of external and internal collaborations, project management and strong business acumen. To succeed in this role, we believe that you have several years of working experience from a similar role as well as experience from working in management teams. Ideally, you will fulfil our expectations in:

• University degree in Finance and or Engineering, MBA or equivalent.
• 10+ experience either within strategic business function, finance, legal or similar, experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or a related role, with a proven track record of successfully establishing and managing significant strategic partnerships.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
• High integrity and ethical standards, with a commitment to safeguarding the company's interests and reputation in all partnership activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Fluent in English.
