Volvo Cars Service Business (VCSB) will therefore implement Battery Centers in each region in order to secure battery pack replacement supply for the aftermarket as well as fulfilling Volvo Cars strategy for electric vehicle batteries post 1st life. The Battery Center will manage storage, analysis and repair/remanufacture as well as build BEV and PHEV battery packs.
As Battery Technician, you will be responsible for analysis and repair/build of battery packs according to specifications, at the right quality and time.
What you'll do
- As Battery Technician you will take actively part of our exciting electrification transformation journey.
- Your responsibilities will initially be to perform analysis, sorting and repair of BEV battery packs, to later also include remanufacturing and build to order as well as PHEV packs.
- Other areas of responsibility may be added depending on your background and upcoming needs within the Battery Center, such as for example creation of instructions and routines for product and process changes, risk analysis and installation and management of tools and equipment.
- You will also be a part of the start-up of the Battery Center.
- You will work in close cooperation with other functions within VCSB and battery experts at R&D, CMQ and TMA.
What you'll bring
- You are a highly skilled Volvo Technician, Engineer or have a similar background, hold a low-voltage electrician certificate, preferable with good technical knowledge of electrical vehicle battery packs. You have a genuine interest and great curiosity in the subject matter.
- You can easily interact both within and outside your team, and has no problem communicating either oral or written in English.
- You are structured, customer focused and committed to quality and delivery in time.
- You should also have good computer skills and will be working in VIDA, TIE, KDP, QW90, PULS and Microsoft office.
- You have a mindset of finding new ways of working to continuously improve processes with focus on safety, efficiency and adding value to business.
