Are you passionate about consumer experiences and the digital touchpoints that drive it? Join the Americas Consumer Digital department as a Digital Product Owner. Volvo Cars is launching new ways to drive a Volvo and engage with our Retailers; and solutions must be improved to deliver a strong dealer, Volvo employee and customer experiences. Overall, we are designing an architecture that is prepared to meet our future business needs and enables development of interfaces to develop new services and exchange of information.

 

The selected candidate will work alongside Americas’ Business Units and Customer Experience teams to build the product roadmaps for supporting varied digital experiences. The product roadmaps will consist of modifications to existing back-office solutions, creation of new Salesforce applications, and enhancing key digital touchpoints with CED customers (Retailers, Employees and End Customers).
 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own, develop, and maintain product roadmaps for multiple digital products by partnering with Volvo Cars Americas’ teams to map customer journeys (end customer, retailer, employee, etc.) define product epics, define user stories, and elaborate on individual product features to deliver value to our customers.
  • Own, prioritize, and facilitate the refinement of our products backlog(s) to ensure that the agile product teams are delivering the right enhancements to drive consumer and/or business value. 
  • Work with implementation teams to realize the vision by executing the prioritized backlog(s) in a clearly defined and agreed upon schedule
  • Accountable for monitoring, optimization, and enhancement of configuration, features and functionalities related to the product area.
  • Accountable for ensuring the quality of releases on the product area, testing and validating that the requirements are met and ultimately accepting the work of the team before going live. 
  • Play a key part in continually improving the ways of working with the development team and wider team services to continue to drive digital transformation within Volvo Cars Americas.
  • Manage financials associated with the assigned digital products
  • Establish and own the metrics to drive engagement and value of both dealership employees as well as Volvo field employees

Key Competencies/Abilities:

  • University degree in the field of Business and/or Technology.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience with a proven track record in Digital and/or e-Commerce environment; ideally with a Manufacturing or Automotive Company.
  • Must have experience working as a Product Owner or product management-related role; preferably in an Agile working setup.
  • Fluent English with foreign language skills a plus.
