Job Summary: 

  • The Network Development Intern will assist with operational tasks within our business unit, improvement of processes with regions/vendors/other departments, and transformation of our retailer network.  As part of this visible role, the intern will attend and participate in network business meetings as well as meetings with vendors, regions, and other departments.  He/she will play an integral role with the Network Development team, key vendors, and regional staff in coordinating projects, analyzing financials, working with systems, and influencing communications.  The role is for a person who is comfortable working with experts in a field, interpreting input, summarizing key findings, and balancing data and instinct. 

 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

 

  • Establish retailer agreement management system and create a milestone calendar for all agreements, with trigger dates to communicate with retailers nearing a date & action to be taken (i.e.: facility, LOI, conditional approval, relocation)  

 

  • Setup financial reporting within the new business management system including mapping and converting data, coordinating new system requirements, and developing reports & new processes  

 

  • Develop a maintenance schedule and tracking report for Volvo Next Face retail facilities  

 

  • Review and confirm each department’s communications & documents within the Retailer Performance Management site 

 

  • Evaluate the retailer assessment process and make improvements for 2020 

 

  • Verify retailer information in the Retailer Master system and assist with updates, help coordinate replacement of the current system 

 

 

Key Competencies/Abilities: 

  • 3-4 years of general business management, financial management, and/or marketing course work at the university level 

  • Prior project management or internship preferred  

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly using Excel 

  • Possesses good analytical and written/verbal communications 

  • Ability to solicit input from variety of teams, interpret feedback, and summarize/present key findings 

  • Ability to drive results, self-driven, and strong work ethic
