Senior Finance Controller

We are recruiting a Senior Controller to the local controlling team in Charleston. The team consists of 5 people being responsible for total industrial operation of Americas including manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain management. As a team member you will work with a global network, ensure efficient processes, and support the industrial operation to meet its financial targets with proactive controlling. The position will include initial training in Sweden.


What you´ll do:
Your workdays will consist in continuously reporting, analyzing, and sharing insight of industrial operation’s financial state to Operations, Management, Group Controlling and Accounting. We connect key business drivers with financial outcomes and present in an easy-to-read way. You will mainly work with the procurement and supply chain area, consisting of both recurring activities and being part of our change journey of implementing new processes, and ways of working to support financial performance.  

 

You will be responsible for:

  • Analysis and presentation of actuals and KPIs
  • Drive short and long-term financial planning
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, control risks and reduce costs
  • Complete ad-hoc presentations and investigations on request
  • Ensure accurate financial data
  • Actively take part of financial digitalization journey
  • Drive financial and business acumen

 

The team is also responsible for Finance training for new leaders in Charleston.  Must be able to contribute and be an active trainer in these monthly occasions.

 

You and your skills:
In this role it’s important to have excellent analytical skills and ability to take own initiatives and develop the role. 

Must enjoy interacting with people cross-functionally and have solid experience of financial statements and reporting, including connecting cause and effect and being able to drive and communicate insights.  Committed to delivery and aligned with good prioritization skills for timely deliverables.
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent required
  • Master’s degree in finance or equivalent preferred
  • 5 - 8 years of controlling experience or related field
  • Proficient in in written and spoken English
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in Excel modeling and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of BI solutions and programing preferred
