Production Supervisor-Final Assembly-2nd Shift

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for coaching and developing team leaders and team members in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for the assignment of prerequisites for their team to do their work and achieve targets by acting as a coach and an enabler.  Position is for second shift, but will start as first shift.

 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Ensure your team clearly understands the company direction and their roles in supporting this through effective usage of the Policy Deployment process (mission, vision, safety, strategy, targets)
  • Be responsible for developing and running the Performance Management System for your teams by demonstrating effective use of core competencies

Job Specifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Must have proven Leadership experience
  • Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
  • Manufacturing experience in a production environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Availability to work any shift (weekends, holidays and overtime)
  • The ability to read and interpret manufacturing specifications or work instructions

Basic Skills

  • 5S ownership in area(s) of responsibility
  • Process set up and utilization using Visual Management
  • Demonstrating the required competencies to monitor, coach, and train Standardized Work
  • Understanding of Andon including its purpose and utilization
  • Problem Solving ability with improvement mindset and methods
