Area Leader - ME

Let's introduce ourselves

 

As an Area Leader, you are responsible for a physical area in the process over time, coordinating and leading a team of Industrial Manufacturing Engineers and Technical Specialists. You act as the interface between the Plant and Commodity organizations, ensuring alignment while balancing time, technique, and cost to achieve operational excellence within my area of responsibility.

What you'll do

 

  • Manage area capacity including shop layout development.
  • Responsible for team time planning (resource planning, correct activities at the right time).
  • Contribute and align project time planning with Program manager.
  • Manage FT&E cost follow up.
  • Request Netbook value of the equipment from plant finance. Initiate an accelerated depreciation plan if an equipment will be decommissioned earlier than expected.
  • Follow up of equipment suppliers' deliveries, example Buy off book follow up or similar after OK to Mfg.
  • Lead the RFQ (Appendix F) creation and its quality assurance.
  • Responsible for that contract demands are fulfilled within responsibility area, example: cycle time, capacity, capability, treatment and or joining quality (welding & torque).
  • Monitor, send out and log all MRQ investigations and cost follow up.
  • Secure that capitalization is performed.
  • Follow up and summarize issues during Industrialization phase within area of responsibility.
  • Lead Handing over equipment to end user within responsible area.
  • Plan and secure scanning (point cloud) of equipment installation (if applicable).
  • Lead, prepare and deliver integration events IE#4-5.
  • Actively involved in non-car program projects
