We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Talent Acquisition and Retention Manager to join our team in Maidenhead. In this role, you will shape the future of talent for our brand within the UK, focusing on designing and delivering effective strategies to attract and retain top talent. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, HR teams, and our external partners to make a measurable impact on our workforce and business success.

What You'll Do

As a key member of the team, you will:

  • Develop and execute innovative recruitment strategies that align with business objectives and address our talent needs. 
  • Enhance Volvo Cars’ employer brand through targeted outreach, social media campaigns, and innovative attraction methods.
  • Drive diversity and inclusion through strategic attraction and hiring initiatives, including Early Careers programs, apprenticeships, and graduate recruitment.
  • Design and implement strategies to reduce employee turnover within the brand and provide insights to improve retention.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and our Network partners to forecast workforce requirements and align recruitment efforts with business goals.
  • Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, selection, and onboarding.
  • Use data-driven insights and metrics to refine strategies and measure success.
  • Host events such as school visits, job fairs, and networking activities to build talent pipelines and raise awareness of Volvo Cars as an employer of choice.
  • Provide comprehensive management Information packs with recruitment metrics, turnover data, and actionable insights to support decision-making.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (advanced certifications, e.g., CIPD Level 7, are a plus).
  • Proven experience in strategic talent acquisition and retention, with a strong focus on diversity and Early Careers initiatives.
  • Expertise in managing recruitment within a network or franchise model.
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others.
  • Advanced knowledge of data analytics, workforce forecasting, and recruitment technologies.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and recruitment best practices.
  • Flexibility to travel nationwide (approximately 30% of the time), with a valid driving license.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the automotive, engineering, manufacturing and/or retail sectors is advantageous, particularly within customer-driven environments.
