The Volvo Learning & Development Team:

The team is based at the Volvo Car USA headquarters in Mahwah, New Jersey, is responsible for driving a consistent, robust, and engaging learning journey for Volvo retailer employees. Learning is a constantly evolving support tool to ensure professional growth to deliver an exceptional customer experience for every customer, every time, throughout vehicle ownership. In collaboration with Global colleagues the team develops training course material to be consumed through an omni-channel approach, not limited to, web based learning, virtual in-person learning and in-person learning.

 

 

What We Are Looking For:

The team welcomes a self-motivated collaborator to provide support to the U.S.A. and Canada Learning & Development team to drive our business goals forward by being a quick learner with excellent project management skills, impeccable time management, organized, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced team. You will support many aspects of the Learning Experience Platform (LXP), Thrive Learning. You will support and implement various activities on Thrive, becoming an expert in its functionality and value to drive user engagement.

Supporting Thrive day-to-day, you will interact with users by assisting them in questions, feedback, and ensure the functionality and operation of Thrive meets the business requirements for continued learning. In addition, you will work with key local and global Volvo stakeholders to support the many future initiatives, such as, supporting the team with launching training critical to support Volvo’s business growth and future products.

What you'll do

Responsibilities:

 

  • Immersed into the training journey: concept, curriculum planning, design, implementation
  • Support daily of Thrive for non-technical training
  • Support of Thrive through live or recorded how-to sessions, in-person presentations
  • Control user access, learning pathways and audience creation, data management and system troubleshooting
  • Assist with content upload, tagging and assignment to relevant audiences, user comments/questions
  • Create training module assessments and provide reporting on assessment completion & results
  • Frequent interaction in-person and through email, phone and virtual interactions with key stakeholders
  • Gaining familiarity with the dynamic training model of the automotive business

  • Problem-solving skills with an ability to create and execute project plans with seamless execution and strong attention to detail
  • The confidence and desire to drive tasks to completion
  • Microsoft Office Suite

In order to be considered for this program, you need to be currently enrolled in a related Undergraduate degree program as a rising, Junior, Senior or anticipate graduating within the calendar year. Program is set to begin early June 2025.
