What we are looking for:

The Dispute Resolution team is in search of a new team member to specialize in facilitating actions between Volvo and Sedgwick for lemon law repurchases and prelitigation attorney demands, as well as requests from Volvo retailers.  

 

Adherence to approved processes and guidelines is important to facilitate various transactions involving state and federal statutes. All such transactions must be completed within specified periods, and all actions related to assigned cases must be carefully documented. The position entails communication with various areas of the Volvo organization including Field Staff, Quality, Engineering, and others, as well as individual law firms, Volvo retailers, and state entities. The role demands the ability to resolve delicate issues while staying within Volvo policies and guidelines, with an emphasis on problem resolution.

This role requires working knowledge of Alleged Product Failures, California Consumer Protection Act, Trade Assists, Buybacks, and Pre-litigation Demands.

A day in the life:

For the US market, you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as a liaison between Volvo and Sedgwick: coordinating transportation of vehicles, completing repurchase requests, fielding questions from Sedgwick regarding repurchases, completing payment requests
  • Tracking monthly repurchase, trade assist, and cash settlements; entering settlements into TREAD
  • Creating PowerPoint presentations for buyback, trade assist, and cash settlement trends
  • Acting as a liaison between the Dispute Resolution Manager and law firms: completing release agreements and ensuring they are signed in a timely manner, completing payment requests for cash settlements and tracking payment requests with Finance and Sedgwick to ensure the checks are sent to the firms in a timely manner
  • Oversee Dispute Resolution Specialist cases and, where needed, facilitate the buyback review process by obtaining necessary paperwork and additional information
  • Oversee retailer SNOW ticket requests for trade assist payment inquiries and discrepancies

 

What you will bring to Volvo:

  • Minimum of 5 years pf experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in or knowledge of the legal field or equivalent experience with critical work
  • Excellent Problem-solving skills and proficiency in identifying issues
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively navigate desktop tools, applications, and websites, including strong knowledge of MS Office
  • Must be able to work as part of a team that relies on each other

 

You might also have:

  • Experience in the automotive field, particularly Lemon Law
  • Working knowledge of Oracle and Salesforce
