You will be part of the Global Accounting Delivery (GAD) team, where we strive for smart and nimble finance processes by analyzing financials to support the business in the best way. We are now looking for an Accountant with business acumen to join our Order To Cash team for Polestar to be based in Madrid (metro Cuzco). The team is responsible for the online business currently rolled out over several European countries.

What you'll do

We are now looking for an Accountant to join the Order to Cash (OTC) team in the Polestar team to be based in Madrid (metro Cuzco). Polestar is an all-electric car Swedish brand, which is sold directly and online to consumers. Polestar was acquired by Volvo Cars in 2015 and operates as a start-up within the organization. Polestar is listed on Nasdaq Our continued success is the result of a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive working environment.
 

You will be the interface and the point of contact between the Business Process Outsourcing delivery team and the Polestar organization and monitor and review OTC activities e.g. payment proposals, reconciliation of OTC GL accounts. You will be following up on inquires and perform timely escalation to applicable parties for swift resolution.  


•    Secure updated documentation (DTPs)
•    Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
•    Support audit requests
•    Process customer invoices 
•    Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency
•    Support month-end and year-end close process
•    Ad hoc activities related to reporting, analysis, and metrics (KPIs).
•    Analysis of KPIs and create action plans to align with targets
•    Handling Power Bi dashboards (KPIs)
•    Participate in OTC Steering Committee meetings
•    Support any supplier queries related to their invoices and payments.
•    Collaborate in continuous improvement projects like robotics, improvement and harmonization initiatives 

What you'll bring

•    University degree in Finance or equivalent
•    Around 1-3 years of experience in Finance, preferably Order to Cash/Accounts Receivables
•    SAP and/or Workday knowledge is a plus
•    Fluent in English, oral and written. Any other language is a plus
•    Ability to plan and prioritize with a flexible and positive mind set.
•    Service minded, proactive and curious mind-set
•    Experience in proposing/participating in process improvement initiatives 
•    Good communication and cooperation skills
•    High integrity
•    Good analytical skills
•    Ability to keep deadlines
