Test Engineer

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies and plans to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products within the Sw and Electronic Platform. Expertise in test automation, test methodologies, and quality assurance practices will be crucial in identifying defects, improving product functionality, and delivering high-quality software solutions.

 What you´ll do

• Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify software functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to effectively design and execute test scenarios.
• Conduct thorough testing of software applications, including functional, regression, performance, load, and stress testing, to identify defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies.
• Perform root cause analysis of defects, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely bug resolution.
• Collaborate with product owners and developers to define acceptance criteria and ensure test coverage for new features and enhancements.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior test engineers, assisting them in enhancing their skills and knowledge.
• Continuously enhance and improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Monitor and report on testing progress, including test execution metrics, defect rates, and test coverage, to stakeholders and project teams.
• Participate in product design and code reviews to contribute insights on testability, scalability, and quality improvements.

What you'll bring 

• Software testing, troubleshooting, fault tracing and test automation.
• Test planning, strategy building, test case writing, manual testing, and automated testing in various embedded software environments.
• Knowledge of Automotive Communication protocols like CAN, Ethernet, LIN
• Experience with Vector tools will be a plus (CANoe, CANape)
• Python programming/scripting
• Very good spoken and written English.
