About us

We are looking for SAP ABAP Developer for our manufacturing demand cluster. The product secures the digital tools and manufacturing capabilities for our component plants. You will join the Manufacturing Demand Cluster within Global Manufacturing Digital at Volvo Cars. We use modern tools and agile methods to create business value continuously, ensuring high quality and adaptability in our delivery

Main responsibilities

• Working on Complex ABAP implementations - programming, testing, and debugging functions.
• Understanding the business function requirements and transforming the requirements into the technical designs, specifications and code.
• Close engagement/communication with functional teams/Business Analysts/technical team members and other stakeholders
• Aligning and coordinating delivery with Product Managers, Engineering Managers
• & Architects to ensure consistency in solutions. 
• Collaborating within and outside the team to secure resilient solutions and shared functional designs 
• Providing technical/functional guidance to junior members 

What you’ll do
This role is part of the Global Manufacturing team, which provides competence towards the digital solutions used to manage the supply chain and production of our cars. The role is part of the manufacturing value chain which supports business process like materials management, production planning and order execution. In this role you will get the opportunity to learn and upgrade your domain knowledge and provide an excellent platform to be part of the journey to reimagine the digital solution landscape supporting our plants.
 

What you’ll bring

• SAP ABAP programming, testing and operational management (Design/Build/Maintain) of IT-systems/applications.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in SAP with ABAP as the primary competence area and working knowledge of other SAP modules.
• Functional Design and experience of working with Agile methodologies (product development)
• Worked on at least 2 complete end to end implementation project in SAP ECC & S/4
• Proven understanding of SAP architecture & SAP ABAP development concepts, guidelines
• Working experience with Interfaces, APIs
• Adobe forms development experience
• Should be able to work Independently on solutioning.
• Strong object orientation experience
• Strong analytical skills and ability to write technical specifications
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables/tasks

Nice to have:

• SAP ECC to SAP S/4 Migration knowledge
• SAP FIORI understanding
• CDS view development experience
• AIF process knowledge
• Certified in SAP S/4 ABAP 1909 & above.
