Tool & Die Engineer Stamping Shop (VCK)

Our business since its inception in 1991 has been to develop the best retail dealer system and information services for the automotive industry. In the current situation, we have about 100 employees with expertise in areas such as automotive trade, project management, systems and IT. Some of our largest customers are Volvo, Renault and Ford dealers and their general agents and today we have over 10 000 users of our solutions. We are seated in beautiful, newly renovated premises at Lindholmen in Gothenburg. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Volvo Car Sweden.

About the assignment 
We are now looking for Stamping Engineers for project phase as well as running production in our future Stamping Shop. 
Do you want to be part of setting up the new production plant in Kosice, Slovakia? This is a great opportunity for you to develop and design your process area (Where we shape the design of the car) in a first-class Stamping shop.
 
What is in the scope of the role? 


Project phase: 
•    Be part of the project group and run certain parts of the project, have good contacts with our Tool & Die equipment suppliers in-house and external suppliers.
•    Secure KPIs such as availability, MTTR, MDT, MCBF, costs, safety etc. in close co-operation with the cross functional team. 
•    Setup spare parts list, maintenance program and instructions for resolving disturbances.
•    Contribute and participate in construction reviews for our stamping die during the design and testing phase. 
•    During the last year of the project phase, 2026, the focus will be tryouts, testing and validation of our die you will also write instructions and train our maintenance employees in preventive maintenance.
•    Together with your manager, you will build and develop our team. This includes guidance of maintenance colleagues and process operators.
•    You will also have a close collaboration and technology exchange with the Mega casting shop (new technology where we will cast rear floors)

 
Running phase: 
•    Ensure maintenance KPI´s in pre-studies, installation, and ongoing production. 
•    Being responsible for developing your area/ function applying Value Driven Maintenance. 
•    Provide technical guidance towards supervisors / technicians and operator maintenance and execution, leading of actions. 
•    Contribute with support and experience in the cross functional team to meet the areas common targets. 
•    Working with continuous improvements of asset utilization (availability, quality) and cost control (Budget). Define and update the maintenance program (preventive and corrective). 
 
Do you fit the profile? 


Your background is a technical bachelor’s degree or at least +5 years of relevant experience. You have leadership and communications skills.  
Experience from running production in car manufacturing Stamping Shop will be highly meritorious. 
If you have experiences from other shops, it is also meritorious as well as other engineering roles, a big plus but not a requirement if you have previously worked with stamping Dies.
You need extensive collaboration and networking skills, and you should be able to communicate in English, both written and spoken. 
The position is located in Kosice, Slovakia. 

 

The salary for this position starts at 2,055 EUR p.m. brutto.

The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to the monthly salary, there is also a 13th salary paid in an aliquot amount and a performance bonus depending on the company's financial results and individual performance.
