Who will you report to?
The main reporting line leads to Head of Body in White shop.

 

What will you do?

  • Utilize strong manufacturing engineering mindset and previous experience in the automotive industry to prepare, develop, implement, and improve process solutions & methods to secure the Body Shop process products; 
  • Update and distribute shop master data (e.g. Hours per Vehicle - HPV, Head Count - HC, Efficiency);
  • Distribute shop efficiency targets, short & long term;
  • Create OIS (operator instruction sheet);
  • Be the shop representative in the cross-functional project teams together with ME and Logistics;
  • Be the shop specialists concerning process and product (including Pre-prod work, Engineering buy-off, Die buy-off for new programs), applicable for the component plant;
  • Support production in their work with first line analysis when SE expertise is needed;
  • During launch provide necessary input from running production;
  • Support production in Kaizen Workshops/M3MU and other continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Support production in reaching man hour targets for operations on running models and drive productivity improvements;
  • Investigate capacity investigations (CIR) based on request from the Plant Business Office;
  • Justify request (facts and figures) and introduce product and process improvement related investments;
  • Be responsible for line layout (including material facade, placement of tooling) and shop layout within the area of responsibility in running operation and in projects; 
  • Be responsible for the high hurts process in the shop;
  • Coordinate the required manning needs for shop in running operation;
  • Participate in PE (Plant Engineering) investigations/projects; 
  • Secure shop deliveries to plant annual process (strategies, targets, capacity and investments);
  • Drive elimination of waste of time, money, materials, man-hours, machine time, quality losses and other resources that do not generate value in shops;
  • Early involvement in the Process Design in line with the development of the Shop Vision for product and non-product projects;
  • Support and help production in line balancing e.g. line speed changes and introduction of new products/processes;
  • Drive Best Practice Sharing Shop Engineering between the plants and within the plant.

 

What will you bring?

  • Several years of previous working experience in highly automated industrial environment, preferably OEM;
  • Preferred university education in Mechanical/Mechatronic, Manufacturing, Automation, Electrical, or related field;
  • Preferred working experience with manufacturing processes such as: welding, gluing, SPR (self-piecing rivetting), laser welding;
  • Demonstrated flexibility, being able to work under an organization in a transformation period, or green-field project;
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on an occasional basis, although based in Kosice, Slovakia; 
  • Conversational in English, written and spoken; 
  • Not only an individual contributor attitude but also an ability to work within a multinational team; 
  • Self-starter and troubleshooting attitude, strong innovation ability, high level of communication skills, curiosity to learn new technologies; 
  • Analytic and engineering data reporting skills.

Monthly gross salary for this position starts from 2.000 EUR.

* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
