Plant Business Office (PBO) is the plant's central unit for strategy and efficiency, responsible for defining, securing, and driving the long-term vision, capacity, efficiency, and investment planning across the entire facility.
PBO organization includes several project managers, project leaders, and analysts, and falls under Plant Engineering, together with other central functions such as Environment, Facility Management, and Plant Maintenance (center of excellence for maintenance).
PBO works very closely with the Plant Management Team on topics such as capacity, efficiencies, new technology roll out or high-priority complex projects (such as permitting).
What you'll do
As our Project Manager within Plant Engineering, you will utilize strong manufacturing engineering mindset and previous experience managing projects in the manufacturing industry by taking the lead of complex studies and projects connected to the plant’s strategy. The studies and projects can be cross-functional (Insource/Outsource studies, Vehicle Cycle plan studies, New installations projects, Plant efficiency projects, Model year programs) and require close collaboration with experts from all internal functions such as R&D, Procurement, Legal and Supply Chain.
In the future, you will also serve as the right hand to Shop Managers (e. g. Body, Paint, Final Assembly) on strategic topics.
In doing so, you will be responsible for:
- Ideation and Business Case Development: Identify potential improvement projects and prepare business cases for approval;
- Project Scope Definition: Plan and lead the delivery of a range of information gathering, analysis, and stakeholder consultation activities and specify, negotiate, and agree on project deliverables;Project Planning: Manage the production of project and workstream plans, ensuring that all activities are identified, are appropriately organized and resourced to deliver project objectives, up-to-date project timelines, and comply with the organization’s project and program management framework;
- Project Execution:
- Risk Management: Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating matters where appropriate, and implement solutions to overcome these concerns;
- Budget Management: Identify, plan, submit, monitor and report on project budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints;
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all projects comply with relevant safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies; - Requirements and Documentation Management: Plan and coordinate the identification and elicitation of requirements, maintain accurate and thorough project documentation, including status reports, schedules, and meeting minutes;
- Stakeholder Management: Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective working relationships for projects and to ensure that stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met;
- Process Optimisation: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality;
- Lessons learned management: Share best practices and knowledge.
What you'll bring
- Several years of previous working experience in a PM role in a highly automated industrial environment, preferably OEM and/or under an organisation in a transformation period, or green-field project;
- Extensive knowledge of methods, tools, processes, production systems, quality standards and ways of working in automotive production;
- University education in Industrial, Civil, Mechanical/Mechatronic, Manufacturing, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Economics or related field;
- PMP or equivalent project management certification, knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related process improvement methodologies;
- Strong financial acumen and experience with developing business cases and managing budgets;
- Deep knowledge of process design;
- Experience from working with permits and certifications in Slovakia;
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) or ERP systems;
- Extensive collaboration, networking, argumentation, communication and presentation skills, conversational in English (written and spoken), while Slovak language skills will be a preferred merit;
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to manage ambiguity;
- Proven ability to work within a multinational team, influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation;
- Ability and willingness to occasionally travel, although based in Košice, Slovakia.
Compensation Data
Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 3.000 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
