At Volvo Cars Košice, we are building a brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art electric‑only manufacturing plant that will operate on climate‑neutral energy from day one. Our mission is to combine cutting‑edge technology, sustainability, safety, and a people‑centric mindset to create the future of mobility.
Our newly forming Finance team plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and transparent financial reporting for Volvo Car Slovakia and the broader Volvo Car Group. As one of the early team members, you’ll have a rare opportunity to help build financial processes, tools, and ways of working from the ground up in a modern greenfield environment.
What you'll do
As a Senior Accountant, you will be a key contributor to the financial operations of our newly established company. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, analyzing, and reporting monthly financial results to the Volvo Car Group.
- Ensuring accurate accounting in accordance with Slovak GAAP and IFRS.
- Supporting tax compliance activities and preparing relevant documentation.
- Participating in the setup of new financial systems, processes, and accounting flows for the greenfield plant.
- Contributing to process improvements, automation, and digitalization initiatives.
- Collaborating closely with stakeholders across the business in a dynamic start‑up‑like environment.
What you'll bring
We value expertise—yet personality and mindset matter just as much. To succeed in this role, you bring:
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Slovak GAAP, with the ability to work both on details and from a broader perspective.
- A proactive, communicative, and trustworthy approach to stakeholder collaboration.
- Fluency in English and Slovak—spoken and written.
- A solid understanding of finance and accounting processes; experience in industrial accounting is an advantage.
- Interest in data analysis, automation, and digitalization.
- A university degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- SAP experience is considered a plus.
Compensations
Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 2.000 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
