Who will you report to?

The position is located at the Volvo Car Kosice plant and the main reporting line leads to local Site IT Manager.

 

What will you do?

  • Utilize strong Information Technology mindset and previous experience with development practices building backend functionalities of SAP-based systems as well as supporting them;
  • Bear E2E responsibility for local system and application operations, with a strong capability to solve incidents, while ensuring availability, scalability, and reliability of our SAP-based systems and applications;
  • Analyze user requirements and interpret them into digital functions, follow Volvo standards when creating and updating technical specifications;
  • Drive operational stability of critical digital deliveries;
  • Be responsible for software testing (UAT), rollout plan, deployment and verification, software handover, and information to factory support team;
  • Drive software problem tickets to resolution and ensure respective problem tasks are being executed;
  • Share knowledge and experience, and offer trainings accordingly, to improve the capability and competence of local engineers.
     

What will you bring?

  • Several years of previous SAP backend software engineering experience in an international environment, preferably working experience with S/4HANA and modules: SD, EWM, and TM;
  • Preferred university education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, as well as additional qualifications in the form of relevant certifications such as: MS Certified AZ/SC, AWS, SAP, ...;
  • Knowledge and working experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server etc.) and JAVA development;
  • Understanding of ITIL processes, application operation & monitoring (how to consult logfiles, database statistics, understand middleware and how to look at logs & configurations);
  • Preferable experience with cloud technologies (we use AWS and Azure);
  • Preferable experience in supporting logistics operations from an IT perspective;
  • Demonstrated flexibility, being able to work under an organization in a transformation period, or green-field project, but thrive in such a fast-paced environment;
  • Good communication skills, conversational in English, written and spoken, and proficient in Slovak language;
  • Not only an individual contributor attitude but also a demonstrated ability to work within a multinational team, influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and have the capacity to identify, mitigate and decide on solutions when facing obstacles in your assignment;
  • Passion to build on our future global plant infrastructure IT landscape;
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally travel within Europe, although based in Valaliky, Kosice district, Slovakia.

Salary for this position starts from 2.300 EUR, per month, gross.

* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
