Our Megacasting & Machining Department is at the forefront of this transformation. By utilizing advanced casting technologies, industrial automation, robotics, and smart manufacturing solutions, we produce key components for the next generation of Volvo vehicles. This highly automated environment combines cutting-edge production equipment, digital technologies, and data-driven decision-making to deliver world-class quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

We are now looking for a Robot, IT & Automation / Data Engineer to help build and optimize one of Europe's most modern manufacturing operations.

What you'll do

As a Robot, IT & Automation / Data Engineer, you will help shape and optimize our highly automated Megacasting & Machining operation. You will be responsible for robots, automation systems, industrial IT solutions, and manufacturing data platforms that support safe, efficient, and high-quality production.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the implementation, commissioning, and continuous improvement of robotic and automated manufacturing systems.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize robot programs, PLC-controlled equipment, and automation processes.
  • Support the integration of robots, production equipment, industrial networks, and digital manufacturing systems.
  • Transform manufacturing data into actionable insights through dashboards, reporting, and data analytics solutions.
  • Drive improvements in equipment reliability, process performance, quality, and overall production efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Maintenance, Digital & IT teams, and external suppliers to support new technologies and smart factory initiatives.

What you'll bring

We're looking for a technology-driven professional who is passionate about automation, digitalization, and manufacturing innovation.

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • A degree in Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working with manufacturing automation, industrial robotics, industrial IT, or data engineering solutions.
  • Knowledge of robot programming, PLC systems, industrial communication networks, and manufacturing technologies.
  • Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as SQL, Power BI, Python, Azure, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and proactive approach.
  • The ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and thrive in a fast-paced, highly automated production environment.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and eagerness to contribute to the future of smart manufacturing.

Compensation

Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 2000EUR.

* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
 
Additional benefits:

  • Summer & Winter Pay;
  • Annual Volvo Bonus depending on performance and company's financial results;
  • Contribution for Supplementary Pension Savings (lll. Pillar);
  • Cafeteria Benefit Program;
  • Contribution for meals exceeding legal requirements;
  • Compensation for dioptric glasses & contact lenses beyond the legal requirements;
  • Life insurance for cases of loss of life, disability, work injury.
