Who will you report to?

Industrialization Manager Painted Body & Geometry

 

What will you do?

  • Utilize strong manufacturing engineering mindset and previous experience in the automotive industry to prepare, develop, implement, and improve process solutions & methods to secure the body shop process products; 
  • Be part of a global industrialization team setting up the new production plant in Kosice, Slovakia and supporting new car project;
  • Be responsible for all robot configuration and tools within the area of bodyshop; 
  • Be responsible for RFQ (Request for Quotation) process, take part in cost estimations, development of process concepts, supplier relations, continuous alignment with customers and coordinate commissioning and installation activities; 
  • Follow-up on and coordinate end-user take-over routine to production within the area as well as joint procedure between car plants and Central Manufacturing Engineering, support delivering and updating PIIs 
  • Review and secure fulfillment of simulation delivery quality according to simulation specification from the supplier;
  • Follow-up cycle time during the industrialization phase and plan actions when needed;
  • Analyze & feedback on VPC (Volvo Parts Change) impact and secure VPC implementation; 
  • Keep the link to Commodity to ensure valid product data and revisions throughout the industrialization phase;
  • Assure that P-FMEA and Process control plan are executed and updated during the industrialization phase and that PII is updated accordingly; 
  • Assure that the main capex project process VCC standard execution during the industrialization phase;
  • Drive and contribute to risk assessment activities;
  • Support shop engineering in the 3rd line analysis; 
  • Be responsible for lessons learned management, share best practice and knowledge to improve the capability and competence of team members.
     

What will you bring?

  • Previous manufacturing engineering experience and robot-related knowledge working on robot automation project (project lead/installation/commissioning) is mandatory; 
  • Machine Safety knowledge;

  • Welding knowledge (Spot, Stud, Laser and Arc Welding), welding gun experience;

  • Glue application knowledge;

  • Handling knowledge (Robot Grippers);

  • Preferred engineering education: Mechanical/Mechatronic, Manufacturing, Automation, Electrical, or equivalent; 

  • Conversational in English, written and spoken, and proficient in Slovak language;

  • Ability and willingness to travel within and outside Europe, more frequently in the initial phase (2024), although based in Kosice, Slovakia;

  • Not only an individual contributor attitude but also an ability to work within a multinational team;

  • Self-starter and troubleshooting attitude, high level of communication skills, curiosity to learn new technologies;

  • Analytic and engineering data reporting skills.

Salary for this position starting from 2.800 EUR, per month, brutto.

* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to the monthly salary, there is also a 13th salary paid in an aliquot amount and a performance bonus depending on the company's financial results and individual performance.
