Quality Engineering Manager, (VCK)

What you´ll do

We are looking for an Incoming Material Quality & Quality Engineering Manager to join our new production plant in Košice, Slovakia.

This role supports all production areas in achieving Built‑In Quality, driving problem‑solving and cross‑functional resolution of customer concerns.

Join us in building a greenfield plant and take an important role in developing people and leading quality concern resolution processes.

Project phase:

  • Set up and design the local process of training/development of people in build up of the Kosice site Incoming Material Quality & Quality Engineering organization.
  • Specify and secure optimal set-up of IMQ (Incoming Material Quality) and QAT (Quality Action Team),  cross functionally together with R&D (Research & Development), Procurement, SPM (Supplier Pefromance Management) and ME (Manufacturing Engineering).
  • Recruitment of Incoming Material Quality & Quality Engineering team members
  • Early involvement with Quality history & knowledge in evaluation of critical to Quality processes cross all shops. E.g participate in FMEA, VBE(Virtual Build Event), VSM(Value Stream Mapping)

 Running phase:

  • Proactively confirm critical to Quality processes.
  • Support production in problem solving. All shops.
  • Lead QAT in concern resolution of customer concerns.
  • With team, represent VCK plant in potential Critical Concern Action Process(CCAP)
  • With team, early involvement in launch phases
  • Secure Incoming Material Quality and assure quick line support in case of abnormality 

 

What you'll bring

  • You are passionate about Quality action oriented problem solving.
  • You are a role model in applying the Volvo Car culture behaviors.
  • Your background is a bachelor’s degree or at least +5 years of relevant experience. You have leadership and communications skills.
  • You need extensive collaboration and networking skills, and you should be able to communicate in English and Slovak, both written and spoken.
  • Meritorious Experience:
  • Running production in car manufacturing.
  • Proven structured and advanced problem solving experience or track record
  • Experience as a leader

Compensation

Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 3.900 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.

 

Additional benefits:

  • Summer & Winter Pay (pro-rated, ½ of monthly salary paid in June and ½ of monthly salary paid in December); 
  • Annual Volvo Bonus depending on performance and company's financial results (*2026 target = XX%); 
  • Monthly Contributions to the III. Pension Pillar (Individual Pension Savings) - 3% after 3 months of employment; 
  • Company car with a monthly fuel benefit of 250 EUR (employee pays Tax and Social security based on 1% of car value each month, or 0.5% if plug-in hybrid or full electric car); 
  • Relocation package (to be further explained in next step by the Global Mobility team, incl.: Relocation allowance of 1-times gross monthly salary, immigration support ...) 
  • Domestic relocation allowance of 1-times gross monthly salary; 
  • Cafeteria Benefit Program 200 EUR per year worked (pro-rated); 
  • Financial contribution for meals 6 EUR per day worked; 
  • Compensation for dioptric glasses & contact lenses up of to 200 EUR every 2 years;
