Let's introduce ourselves
We are seeking a Geometry Technique & Method Engineer for our production plant in Košice, Slovakia. The Geometry organization, part of the Quality & Academy function, supports all production shops by ensuring geometry properties in ongoing production and optimizing conditions for new products and processes through early involvement.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the setup of our new plant, transfer your skills and expertise to the local operation, and implement Volvo Cars’ geometry processes and procedures.
What will you do?
Project phase:
- Collaborate closely with Geometry Manufacturing Engineering to establish optimal measurement systems for geometry properties.
- Act as the customer in running production, ensuring the capability of measurement processes.
- Work with the Central Geometry SME on contracts, suppliers, purchases, and global user groups.
- Lead installation projects for measuring equipment (e.g., in-line, off-line, stamping/CMM fixtures).
Running phase:
- Oversee all geometry measuring equipment across the plant.
- Support and develop technical methods (hardware/software) for geometrical tools.
- Ensure technical availability of geometry measuring equipment, working closely with other roles in the Geometry organization.
- Assist production teams with advanced problem-solving.
- Support production in advanced problem solving.
What you'll bring
- University degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial or at least +5 years of relevant experience.
- You have extensive knowledge and experience of Geometry property processes in a car plant.
- You are a role model in applying the Volvo Car culture and behaviors.
- Strong collaboration and networking skills; fluent in English (written and spoken).
Meritorious Experience
- Experience in green field plant project
- Proven track record in structured and advanced problem-solving.
Compensation
Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 2.200 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
