Propulsion Components Industrialization is a department within Manufacturing Engineering. Together with our central resources, we develop and implement quality-assured, flexible, and effective production systems in the Propulsion Components shop, in the plant. Our work is cross-functional & project-oriented, securing local industrialization of car programs.
What you'll do
- Utilize strong manufacturing engineering mindset and previous experience in the automotive industry to ensure that the cars we build meet the highest expectations from our customers;
- Project Management - Be a project leader our state-of-the-art Propulsion Components Shop responsible for a specific area (Electric Drive Unit or Cell to Body) and the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of industrialization projects, securing all Industrialization deliveries from the team to the car programs;
- Risk Management: Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating matters where appropriate, and implement solutions to overcome these concerns;
- Budget Management: Plan, submit, monitor, and report on area budget and RFQ (Request for Quotation) process, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints;
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all projects comply with relevant safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies; - Stakeholder Management: Plan and deliver stakeholder (incl. line builder) engagement activities to develop effective working relationships;
- Process Optimisation: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality;
- Lessons learned management: Share best practices and knowledge, and coach the team members;
- Coordinate commissioning and installation activities, issue list follow-up;
- Be responsible for handing over equipment to the end user;
- Own and align global manufacturing processes and strategies within the car programs;
- Represent ME as well as the plants, in supporting stakeholders;
- Secure all Manufacturing deliveries from the team to the car programs;
- Take actions on manufacturing-related obstacles to achieve the best process design and update the status to Gateway/Milestone reports within the area of responsibility up to Final Data Judgment;
- Give solution proposals and escalate if needed with support from Engineers;
- Work towards closing the gap to the Vision layout;
- Be responsible for Lean process design and process flow;
- Provide regular status updates to the Local Program Manager.
What you'll bring
- Previous manufacturing engineering experience leading projects (installation/commissioning) is mandatory;
- Competence in Lean Process Design;
- Electric drive units (EDU) know-how – production of rotor, stator, inverter;
- Experiences with assembly processes of EDU;
- Design of production lines (mechanical design, automation principles, integration of robot applications) with integrated welding technologies, EoL, e-check stations;
- Conversational in English, written and spoken, while proficiency in Slovak language would be also a preference;
- Ability and willingness to travel within and outside Europe, although based in Košice, Slovakia;
- Not only an individual contributor attitude, but also an ability to work within a multinational team;
- Self-starter and troubleshooting attitude, high level of communication skills, curiosity to learn new technologies;
- Analytic and engineering data reporting skills.
Compensation Data
Monthly gross salary for this position starts from 2.600 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
