Production Supervisor - Mega Casting, (VCK)

What you'll do

  • Supervise a group or team of operational contributors in multi-shift operations and organize their daily workflow along a Mega Casting production;
  • Ensure that all technicians have the necessary tools, resources, and prerequisites to perform their jobs safely and effectively;
  • Communicate job expectations clearly, provide necessary instructions and feedback to team members;
  • Oversee all aspects of people planning and management, including short and long-term resource planning, holiday scheduling, and sickness management;
  • Control and manage all technology parameters and related media set up the process parameters and controls to standardize the production process with achieving quality of the product and process;
  • Casting process setup - temperature, pressure, cycle time, melting and all media control;
  • Production planning - contribute data and information to production plans, run reports, check accuracy, and distribute information;
  • Coordinate maintenance and Die maintenance setup with cross-functional teams;
  • Lead development of the die-casting process through parameter optimization, incl. OEE and OPR;
  • Lead people and casting process (Manufacturing, Assembly, Supply Chain, Cost, Serviceability, Sustainability, Reliability, Safety, etc.) and work closely with product design engineering teams to ensure that critical changes are incorporated in a timely manner;
  • Oversee operator instructions, critical parameters, checklists, and training materials for all casting operations, update special equipment service manuals including BOMs, drawings, wiring schematics, recommended needed processes, technical expertise, and tooling for optimization of production runs; 
  • Drive process improvements, cost reduction activities and continuous improvement activities;
  • Provide training plans and execute trainings for team members.

What you'll bring

  • Several years of previous working experience in high-pressure aluminum die-casting process design as well as in supervisor function associated with melting/die-casting;
  • Exceptional understanding of the interactions between the high-pressure die-casting process conditions (e.g. die temperature, die & tip lube application, shot profile, etc.)influence the metallurgical and structural integrity of cast aluminum components and new mega casting characteristics;
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes for new and unique products in high-pressure die-casting and set up of processes, machines and process parameters;
  • Experience transitioning products from prototype to production;
  • Experience defining and assessing quality standards associated with common manufacturing processes including drawing specifications, limit samples, and incoming/outgoing quality control points;
  • Experience with technology, media and parameters set-up;
  • People development abilities;
  • Preferred university education in Industrial, Casting, Mechanical, Materials Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience; 
  • Flexibility, being able not only to work under an organization in a transformation period, or green-field project, but thrive in such a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent communication skills, preferably conversational in English and Slovak language, written and spoken; 
  • Not only an individual contributor attitude but also a demonstrated ability to work within a multinational team, influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization; 
  • Ability and willingness to travel within Europe, although based in Košice District, Slovakia.

Compensation

Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 1.850 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
