What you'll do
This role will be based in the end-of-line part of the Final Assembly Shop, and your focus will be on ad-hoc repair. The role could therefore be different to other roles in production, mainly due to the nature of handling potential quality issues with finalized product. You should have the ability to make quick escalation decisions, knowing where to turn depending on the quality issue.
Furthermore you will:
- Supervise a group or team of operational contributors in repair operations and organize their daily workflow.
- Ensure that all team members have the necessary tools, resources, and prerequisites to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
- Communicate job expectations clearly, provide necessary instructions and feedback to team members.
- Oversee all aspects of people planning and management, including short and long-term resource planning, holiday scheduling, training and sickness management.
- Propose projects for the improvement of the QDC KPIs through 4M analysis and six sigma tools and lead the development of the repair processes
- Control and manage all the equipment related to the repair activities including the equipment inventory by tracking and controlling all physical assets, from acquisition to disposal, to ensure they are used efficiently, maintained properly, and accounted for.
- Contribute to the improvement of the standardized work by creating, updating, reviewing the way to perform the repair tasks aiming to eliminate variability and waste.
- Coordinate maintenance interventions on the equipment dedicated to the repair area.
- Perform diverse layered audits to monitor the discipline of team members and the level of compliance on the established standards.
- Oversee operator instructions, critical parameters, checklists, and training materials for assigned operations (paint, body, heavy, software & electrical, general repair)
- Drive process improvements, cost reduction activities and continuous improvement activities.
- Provide training plans and execute training for team members.
What you'll bring
- Previous experience from, repair shop or OEM environment
- Several years of previous working experience as shop foreman or in a supervisor function associated with repair area in an OEM plant;
- Experience in managing people in manufacturing processes / environment.
- Experience defining and assessing quality standards associated with common manufacturing processes including drawing specifications, limit samples, and incoming/outgoing quality control points;
- Experience defining and assessing standardized work in manufacturing processes
- Background in software and / or electrical engineering (nice to have)
- Preferred university education in Industrial, Electrical Engineering, Automotive or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Flexibility, being able not only to work under an organization in a transformation period, or green-field project, but thrive in such a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, preferably conversational in English and Slovak language, written and spoken;
- Not only an individual contributor attitude but also a demonstrated ability to work within a multinational team, influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
- Ability and willingness to travel within Europe, although based in Košice District, Slovakia.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 1.850 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
