The Production Planning team is a core function within the newly established Volvo Car Slovakia plant in Kosice. This team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless coordination of production volumes, material flow, and scheduling across the manufacturing operations of Volvo’s first fully electric vehicle plant in Slovakia.

The Production Planning team ensures that Volvo Cars is grounded in operational excellence, enabling the plant to meet its production targets while maintaining flexibility and responsiveness to market demands.

What you'll do

As a Production Planning Management (PPM) Engineer you will be responsible for managing and coordinating product changes or production plans (based on your experience). At Volvo Cars, this role is especially critical in ensuring that production aligns with evolving customer demands, product specifications and operational efficiency goals.

•    Be part of developing and maintaining long - term production volume plans, considering plant capacity, line speed, factory rebuilds, and new model ramp-ups.
•    Maintain short-term production forecasts and fix plan, propose recovery plans when needed, and manage after-sales and knock-down production planning.
•    Focus on daily coordination and steering of production: Monitor real order intake and process orders in local system.
•    Plan and maintain the working calendar, sequence preliminary and fixed orders, and manage Last Day of Change (LDOC) and order processing in local systems.
•    Coordinate pre-series builds with the launch team and keep project plans updated during new model introductions.
•    Represent the plant in planning meetings and maintain oversight of Bill of Materials (BOM) structure and launch activities.

What you'll bring

•    University degree or vocational background in logistics or manufacturing preferred.
•    +3 years experience in production planning
•    Logistics principles, processes, systems
•    Analytical capabilities
•    Strong sense of ownership with proactive approach to problem-solving
•    Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with collaboration mindset
•    Proficiency in ERP and planning system (preferred SAP).
•    Conversational in English and Slovak (written and spoken)

Compensation

Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 1.850 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
