Let's introduce ourselves
As Manufacturing Program Engineer (MPE), you will be part of the Industrial Operations Program and Quality (IOPQ) organization, which works on launching our new products, meaning you will support the implementation of new cars. This position coordinates programs in the Košice plant, and a big part of the job is collaboration with our Global team in Sweden.
What you'll do
You will be working closely with the program launch team in the industrialization phase all the way up to Program End, supporting the launch activities and driving some of our launch forums and processes, as well as with the Manufacturing Program Manager to support multiple tasks, such as Manufacturing readiness reviews, pre-build events, and task force.
In doing so, you will:
- Manage the AVN (Analysis and Verification Need) during the later part of the program phase for Manufacturing;
- Together with the Manufacturing Program Manager (MPM), develop and manage the plan for the entire manufacturing team, as well as promote collaboration and pragmatic issue management within our car programs;
- Contribute to Industrial Operation Program and Quality and Manufacturing engineering´s strategic development and continuously improve our way of working;
- Work with Launch Quality Operating System (LQOS) to secure successful launches of our vehicle programs and model year introductions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Project Reporting and Review: Manage the project review process; provide stakeholders with accurate and relevant information and key recommendations at established review points to enable them to evaluate progress;
- Project Planning: Produce workstream or project plans, ensuring that all activities are identified, appropriately organized to deliver project objectives, and comply with the organization's project management framework;
- Document Preparation: Organize and prepare complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices, such as standard office software;
- Requirements Management: Identify, elicit, and document project/process requirements, using appropriate modeling techniques, if required, and maintain documentation and traceability throughout the project;
- Stakeholder Management: Deliver stakeholder engagement activities to support the effective working relationships and respond to stakeholder needs and concerns.
What you'll bring
- Previous manufacturing engineering experience working on equipment projects (project lead/installation/commissioning) or program launch is meritorious;
- Engineering university education: Mechanical/Mechatronic, Manufacturing, Automation, Electrical, or equivalent;
- Ability to independently drive tasks and solve problems;
- Analytic and engineering data reporting skills, competence in Business Intelligence;
- Ability and willingness to travel within and outside Europe, although based in Košice District, Slovakia;
- Conversational in English, written and spoken;
- Self-starter and troubleshooting attitude, high level of communication skills, curiosity to learn new technologies;
- Not only an individual contributor attitude, but also an ability to work within a multinational team.
Preferably experience within the following areas and tools:
- Engineering (R&D), Plant supply chain and Manufacturing Engineering (ME);
- VPDS (Volvo Product Development System);
- VIRA;
- Planisware;
- TOCC and MSCB.
Compensation Data
Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 2.400 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
