Propulsion Components Industrialization is a department within Manufacturing Engineering. Together with our central resources, we develop and implement quality-assured, flexible, and effective production systems in the Propulsion Components shop, in the plant. Our work is cross-functional & project-oriented, securing local industrialization of car programs.
What you'll do
- Utilize strong manufacturing engineering mindset and previous experience in the automotive industry to secure and coordinate production lines automation from supplier evaluation to installation, commissioning, and handover;
- Prepare and optimize specifications for equipment, resulting in validation during FAT, SAT, and commissioning phase;
- Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions;
- Project Management: Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals;
- Process Design Engineering: Contribute to the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters;
- Develop and design your equipment and process area (Battery and/ or Electrical engine production) according to Volvo standards, specifically equipment solutions by considering electrical design requirements;
- Improve the techniques & methods used by the team following the project through product development & feedback, quoting and buying the equipment as well as installing and commissioning to achieve flawless launch according to project KPI requirement for Battery or Electrical engine;
- Take part in RFQ=Request For Quotation of equipment - cost estimations, development of process concepts, supplier relations, continuous alignment with customers, installing and commissioning.
What you'll bring
- Previous manufacturing engineering experience working on equipment projects (project lead/installation/commissioning), is mandatory;
- Electrical hardware and Eplan knowledge, experience working with electrical design;
- Machine Safety knowledge (safety zones, safety equipment incl. safety doors, roller gates, light beams etc.);
- Previous working experience with sourcing process (internal & external relations in sourcing), and Project management experience;
- Preferred engineering university education: Electrical, Automation, Mechatronic, Manufacturing, or equivalent;
- Problem-solving DMAIC knowledge;
- FMEA experience;
- Good understanding of Teamcenter, CATIA V5, Auto CAD;
- Conversational in English, written and spoken, and preferably proficient in Slovak language;
- Ability and willingness to travel within and outside Europe, although based in Kosice District, Slovakia;
- Not only an individual contributor attitude, but also an ability to work within a multinational team;
- Self-starter and troubleshooting attitude, high level of communication skills, curiosity to learn new technologies;
- Analytic and engineering data reporting skills.
Compensation Data
Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 2.500 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
