Let's introduce ourselves

Propulsion Components Industrialization is a department within Manufacturing Engineering. Together with our central resources, we develop and implement quality-assured, flexible, and effective production systems in the Propulsion Components shop, in the plant. Our work is cross-functional & project-oriented, securing local industrialization of car programs.

What you'll do

  • Utilize strong manufacturing engineering mindset and previous experience in the automotive industry to develop and design your equipment and process area (Battery and/ or Electrical engine production) according to Volvo standards;
  • Aactively participate on RFQ=Request For Quotation of equipment during the industrialization phase of the car programs - cost estimations, development of process concepts, supplier relations, continuous alignment with customers, installing and commissioning;
  • Provide experience from System Solution (DRMs), Supplier Capabilities and Measuring of current Products;
  • Judge and define additional requirements for analysis in which equipment or way is most appropriate;
  • Lead and drive the work for equipment in car programs;
  • Evaluate modifications and adjustments resulting from analysis in the plant;
  • Improve the techniques & methods used by the team following the project through product development & feedback to achieve flawless launch according to project KPI requirement for Battery or Electrical engine.

What you'll bring

  • Previous manufacturing engineering experience leading projects (installation/commissioning) is mandatory;
  • Competence in Lean Process Design;
  • Electric drive units (EDU) know-how – production of rotor, stator, inverter;
  • Experiences with assembly processes of EDU; 
  • Design of production lines (mechanical design, automation principles, integration of robot applications) with integrated welding technologies, EoL, e-check stations;
  • Conversational in English, written and spoken, while proficiency in Slovak language would be also a preference;
  • Ability and willingness to travel within and outside Europe, although based in Košice, Slovakia;
  • Not only an individual contributor attitude, but also an ability to work within a multinational team;
  • Self-starter and troubleshooting attitude, high level of communication skills, curiosity to learn new technologies;
  • Analytic and engineering data reporting skills.

Compensation Data

Monthly gross salary for this position starts from 2.600 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
