What you'll do
- Utilize strong manufacturing engineering mindset and previous experience in the automotive industry to prepare, develop, implement, and improve process solutions & methods to secure the paint shop process products;
- Secure that process solutions & methods fulfill Volvo Car product requirements in the Paint Production Process;
- Take part in RFQ=Request For Quotation of equipment – analyze supplier capabilities, cost estimations, development of process concepts, supplier relations, continuous alignment with customers, installing and commissioning;
- Support Commodity to deliver and update PIIs for each pre-series;
- Review and secure fulfillment of simulation delivery quality according to the simulation specification from the contractor;
- Follow-up cycle time during the industrialization phase and plan actions when needed;
- Analyze & feedback on VPC impact and secure VPC implementation;
- Keep the link to the Commodity to ensure valid product data and revisions throughout the industrialization phase;
- Assure that P-FMEA is executed and updated during the industrialization phase and that PII is updated accordingly;
- Assure that the Process control plan is updated during the industrialization phase accordingly;
- Find and close product & process-related issues in VP & each pre-series;
- Ensure that the main capex project process Volvo standard execution during the industrialization phase;
- Participate in the industrialization phase with the contractor and drive the deliverables above;
- Secure Running Change introductions in the dedicated area (include new color introduction);
- Lead slow-build during each pre-series and align with all involved stakeholders;
- Lead new material introduction:
- Non-colour (PT&EC, Sealing, SSD, NVH, Wax, NVH Foam, and WWT),
- Colour (Primer, Basecoat, Clearcoat and Two-Tone); - Drive and contribute to risk assessment activities;
- Support 3rd line analysis.
What you'll bring
- Previous manufacturing engineering experience working on colour/non-colour coating applications;
- Knowledge about the processes, methods, and tools used in the paint shop;
- Previous working experience with sourcing process (internal & external relations in sourcing), as well as Project management experience;
- Preferred engineering education: Mechanical/Mechatronic, Manufacturing, Automation or equivalent;
- Problem-solving DMAIC knowledge;
- FMEA experience;
- 3D/2D software skills (e.g. AutoCAD, CATIA V5);
- Conversational in English, written and spoken, and proficient in Slovak language;
- Ability and willingness to travel within and outside Europe, while being based in Kosice, Slovakia;
- Not only an individual contributor attitude but also an ability to work within a multinational team;
- Analytic and engineering data reporting skills.
Compensation
Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 2.000 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
