Maintenance Supervisor - Paint Shop, (VCK)

At Volvo Cars, we are redefining the automotive experience through innovation, building 100% electric vehicles as part of an exciting international project. Join our team in Košice and help design and establish a new production plant, working closely with global colleagues to create efficient, people-focused systems. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future Paint Shop and grow within a dynamic, forward-looking company on the road to production launch in 2027.

Project phase:

  • Secure KPIs such as availability, MTTR, MDT, MCBF, costs, safety etc. in close co-operation with the cross functional team.
  • Setup of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance and corrective maintenance process. Cooperation on spare parts list, maintenance program and disturbance solving instructions
  • Contribute to an optimal set-up of the maintainability and reliability in the production lines during the equipment design and installation phase.
  • During the last year of the project phase, 2027, focus will be on trimming and validating the equipment during build pre-series of cars, making instructions and training of maintenance technicians.
  • Together with your manager and your maintenance engineering colleagues, you will build and develop your team. This includes guidance of maintenance technicians and process operators.

 Running phase:

  • Ensure maintenance KPI´s in pre-studies and installation projects.
  • Being responsible for developing your area/ function applying Value Driven Maintenance.
  • Lead the team of technicians with close cooperation with production team and maintenance engineering team.
  • Contribute with support and experience in the cross functional team in order to meet the areas common targets.
  • Working with continuous improvements of asset utilization (availability, quality) and cost control. Define and update the maintenance program (preventive and corrective).

What you'll bring

  • Technical Bachelor’s degree or minimum 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in automotive Paint Shop production is highly valued
  • Experience from other production areas, Tier 1 automotive, or maintenance roles is an advantage
  • Strong collaboration and networking abilities
  • Fluent English and Slovak (written and spoken)

What you'll bring

Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 2.000 EUR. 

* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
