What you'll do
As a Maintenance Supervisor you will report to Shop Maintenance Manager and work alongside Production, Engineering, Quality, Central Maintenance and Suppliers.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for achieving business targets, ensuring timely delivery of products and services, and developing team competence. You will lead training, coaching, and resource planning while upholding Volvo Car Group values and Lean Leadership principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and improve local/global maintenance standards.
- Coordinate with global car plants, Manufacturing Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
- Implement and oversee joining control plans for quality assurance.
- Lead training and knowledge-sharing for technicians and maintenance operators.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams.
- Optimize equipment availability and control production costs.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to supervisors and technicians.
- Develop and update preventative/corrective maintenance programs.
- Act as a role model in Volvo Car Manufacturing System implementation.
- Address escalations, coordinate resources, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Drive problem-solving, process improvements, and workflow efficiency.
What you'll bring
Qualifications & Skills:
- Several years of previous working experience in a maintenance function in a highly automated industrial environment within Body Shop, preferably OEM;
- Preferred university education in Mechanical/Mechatronic, Manufacturing, Automation, Electrical, or related field;
- Demonstrated flexibility, being able to work under an organization in a transformation period, or green-field project;
- At least basic ability to communicate in English.
Technical Knowledge:
- Joining processes (e.g., Spot Welding, Laser Welding, Stud Welding, Adhesive Bonding);
- Robot joining equipment/tools, PLC, electrical & mechanical systems;
- Resistance welding gun and inverter knowledge.
Leadership:
- Solid team management, problem-solving, and coaching skills.
Compensation Data
Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 1.850 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
