At Volvo Cars Slovakia, our Final Assembly Maintenance Department plays a key role in ensuring that production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. We are responsible for maintaining and continuously improving manufacturing equipment to achieve high availability, quality, and cost performance while supporting our Value Driven Maintenance approach.

Our team works closely with production, technicians, and maintenance specialists to optimize equipment performance, implement preventive maintenance strategies, solve complex technical challenges, and support the introduction of new technologies in our manufacturing environment.

What you'll do

As an Electrical Engineer, you will help ensure the reliability and performance of equipment within the Final Assembly area by:

  • Providing technical guidance and support to supervisors, technicians, and maintenance teams.
  • Driving maintenance improvements through structured problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Defining, implementing, and continuously improving preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Contributing maintenance expertise during the development and implementation of new manufacturing equipment to ensure reliability and maintainability.
  • Developing and delivering technical training to support effective maintenance execution.
  • Creating and maintaining clear technical documentation, maintenance instructions, spare parts lists, Bills of Materials, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Supporting equipment availability, quality performance, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Managing maintenance-related budgets and providing guidance on maintenance planning and resource allocation.

What you'll bring

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset:

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering and industrial maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
  • Experience with industrial automation and software tools such as Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC, Inverter Programmer, Eplan, or similar.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes; experience from final assembly operations is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • A structured, systematic, and flexible approach to work.

Compensation Data

Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 1.850 EUR. 

* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
