Our Final Assembly Maintenance department ensures stable, safe, and high performing operations across Volvo Car Slovakia’s cutting edge production environment. The team safeguards equipment reliability, supports continuous improvement, and develops smart, future ready maintenance practices.

You will join a skilled and collaborative group of maintenance engineers and technicians who bring deep expertise in electrical systems, mechanical troubleshooting, and equipment optimization. It is an environment where teamwork, growth, and safety are fundamental values.

What you'll do

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer specializing in the electrical part of Final Assembly. 

In this role, you will:

  • Optimize equipment performance to meet or exceed agreed targets, considering cost, safety, health, environment, and availability — all aligned with Value Driven Maintenance (VDM).
  • Provide technical guidance to supervisors, technicians, and operator maintenance teams, leading actions when needed.
  • Apply your maintenance expertise early in equipment development projects to secure reliability and maintainability.
  • Define, update, and continuously improve preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Develop and deliver technical training to ensure effective task execution within the team.
  • Create and maintain clear, user friendly documentation (visual factory, work instructions, troubleshooting guides).
  • Establish Bill of Materials, spare parts lists, maintenance programs, and disturbance solving instructions.
  • Manage maintenance budgets for assigned equipment and support department budgeting.

What you'll bring

  • University degree or above and major is electrical engineering related.
  • Relevant experience required in e.g. equipment maintenance, conveyors, fixtures, lifting tools, etc.
  • Experience working with Siemens PLC programming and hardware configuration
  • High proficiency in engineering software such as Siemens TIA portal.
  • Strong understanding of Final Assembly production processes (preferred).
  • Strong analytical, logical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Slovak (both written and spoken)

Compensation Data

Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 2.200 EUR. 

* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
