At Volvo Cars Košice (VCK) our Plant Supply Chain Engineering team plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable mobility. As part of the broader Plant Logistics function, this team is responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing end-to-end logistics solutions that support the production of our next-generation, fully electric vehicles.

Working at the heart of the VCK project, the team combines strategic thinking with hands-on engineering to ensure seamless material flows, efficient packaging systems, and digitally enabled logistics operations. From early project phases to full-scale production, our engineers collaborate across departments to align logistics with manufacturing needs—always with a focus on lean principles, innovation, and operational excellence.

 

What you'll do

You will report to the Plant Supply Chain Engineering Manager

  • Utilize strong manufacturing engineering mindset and previous experience in the automotive industry to prepare, develop, implement, and improve logistics process based on source, inbound flow set-up, package, and parts information; 
  • Engineer the information flow & material flow, and delivery of end-to-end process charts; 
  • Space, equipment, and manning resources calculate and standard build; 
  • Design the route of in-plant logistic activities based on lean flow setup; 
  • Drive and implement packaging improvements according to Volvo's internal standards; 
  • Align all logistic rack, tools designs, and standards with cross plant, implement based on less touch; 
  • Responsible for cyclic delivery including Oick & Store (P&S) lane set-up; 
  • Responsible for logistic engineer process, data, and doc. published in Business Management System (BMS); 
  • Standardize the engineering process with the lean flow set-up; 
  • Budget management and efficiency targets set for the engineering team; 
  • New project engineer delivery for each milestone.

 

What you'll bring

  • Previous working experience in a similar role in OEM is mandatory;
  • Lean logistic knowledge with value stream mapping ability from supplier to the production line, with the best flow and optimal flow set-up;
  • Strong Supply Chain Management (SCM) network mindset for building high-efficiency flow and knowledge of flow design; 
  • Preferred education: Logistic Management, Logistic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent;
  • Package knowledge, ex. material property, cost calculation, and packaging concept design; 
  • 3D/2D software skill; 
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken; 
  • Analytic and engineering data reporting skills.

 

Competencies and Benefits

Gross monthly salary for this position starts from 2.700 EUR.

* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
