Who will you report to?
The main reporting line leads to Shop Manager Mega Casting / Machining.

 

What will you do?

  • Utilize strong manufacturing engineering mindset and previous experience with high-pressure aluminum die-casting processes to ensure that the cars we build meet the highest expectations from our customers;
  • Be responsible for developing and maintaining unique mega casting process and its corresponding/subsequent processes for new and existing products and machines/robots;
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date standard operating procedures, process qualification procedures, quality assurance documents, checklists, characterization, work instruction, health of the line monitor (such as pre-flight or process checklist), PFMEA, process parameter fingerprinting, Out-of-Control-Action-Plan, Control Plan, troubleshooting guidelines and improvements for the manufacturing line, as well as provide technical support enabling the manufacturing line to produce and deliver highest quality products on time;
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and quality assurance documents, including, but not limited to, work instruction, health of the line monitor (such as pre-flight or process checklist), PFMEA, process parameter fingerprinting, Out-of-Control-Action-Plan, Control Plan, troubleshooting guidelines, etc.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement effective counter measures for process excursions;
  • Be responsible for yield attainment of the manufacturing line;
  • Establish real time SPC for all critical process parameters;
  • Be responsible for maintaining casting die’s cooling circuit diagrams, their management, and up-to-date process parameter fingerprinting;
  • Own all process-related changes and the change control associated with process;
  • Establish robust process control and monitoring system for HPDC/Mega casting and its subsequent processes to ensure quality of high performance structural castings;
  • Lead process technicians supporting day to day coverage of manufacturing line processes, including rapid response on out-of-control processes to minimize cost and maximize productivity;
  • Lead the first responder team to process excursions;
  • Own and document rework process and disposition of non-conformance materials that come from the manufacturing line, respond to out-of-control processes, work on yield improvement projects/activities, qualify new equipment and processes that are being introduced into the manufacturing line and ensure all non-conformance materials produced by manufacturing lines are dispositioned properly and on time;
  • Spearhead Lean manufacturing activities, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives, and support production in various areas such as material handling improvements, production line configuration, and safety procedures;
  • Share best practices and knowledge, coach the team members, assist in the training of operators as needed;

 

What will you bring?

  • Several years of previous working experience in an industrial environment with high-pressure aluminum die-casting processes;
  • Knowledge of process development, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), & FMEA fundamentals;
  • Proven ability to handle robots in general (setting trajectories preferably on FANUC robots);
  • Ability to manage technicians from multiple disciplines/levels;
  • Preferred experience with manufacturing processes like injection molding, CNC, stamping, and assembly in a production setting, preferably also process/manufacturing engineering experience associated with HPDC;
  • Preferred university education in Chemical/Material/Electrical/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience; 
  • Flexibility, being able not only to work under an organization in a transformation period, or green-field project, but thrive in such a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent technical communication and presentation skills, conversational in English, written and spoken, and preferably proficient in Slovak language; 
  • Not only an individual contributor attitude but also a demonstrated ability to work within a multinational team, influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization; 
  • Ability and willingness to travel within Europe, although based in Košice, Slovakia.

Salary for this position starts from 2.800 EUR, per month, brutto.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to the monthly salary, there is also a 13th salary paid in an aliquot amount and a performance bonus depending on the company's financial results and individual performance.
