Indus Engineer, Software & End of Line (VCK)

Our business since its inception in 1991 has been to develop the best retail dealer system and information services for the automotive industry. In the current situation, we have about 100 employees with expertise in areas such as automotive trade, project management, systems and IT. Some of our largest customers are Volvo, Renault and Ford dealers and their general agents and today we have over 10 000 users of our solutions. We are seated in beautiful, newly renovated premises at Lindholmen in Gothenburg. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Volvo Car Sweden.

Your focus will be to define process and equipment solutions on station and line level for Software & End of Line. Your tasks will be to design the process (2D and 3D) equipment and logistic solutions. Make cycle time estimations of processes and assemblies to plan and balance the work (man and auto), to create lean, efficient and productive global solutions.


The challenge for this role is for the following years to develop our new production system and modify our existing lines for the next generation of cars. The newly developed production lines must be flexible, low in energy consumption and have high technical availability and maintainability.


What you'll do:

 

  • Be part and take lead in the development and implementation of Software & End of Line production setup. Lead the team as tooling & equipment representative within manufacturing engineering.
  • Responsible for setting up lean and optimized production process for End of Line.    
  • Work in a cross-collaboration network for tooling & equipment process development. 
  • Handle and secure mechanics, automation and software related issues during concept work including safety and functionality.
  • Review technical content of the documentation and secure that it meets the agreed level.
  • Ensure that requirements regarding documentation for the discipline are included in RFQ.
  • Secure that legal inspection is carried out and documented.
  • Ensuring installation and commissioning of the equipment’s.
  • Ensure that activities are carried out at the right time according to sourcing and installation plan.
  • Initiate and establish dialogue with purchasing.
  • Ensure that the equipment budget is according to agreements. 

 

What you'll bring

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial or equivalent technical engineering background.
  • Minimum 5 years of practical & project leading experience with tooling and equipment installation (systems design and integration).
  • Extensive experience of process related to Software and End of Line.
  • Experience on system and component testing of electric vehicles.
  • 3D simulation and software diagnostic tools.  
  • Machine directive 2006/42 EG and applicable harmonized IATF16949 within area of expertise.
  • Basic health & safety knowledge.
  • Basic ergonomics knowledge.
  • Documentation system knowledge.
  • Project management and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Good communication, collaboration and negotiation skills with internal, and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Fluent in both English and Slovak, written and spoken due to our global organisation set-up

 

 

Salary for this position starting from 2.250 EUR, per month, brutto.

* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. The final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to the monthly salary, there is also a 13th salary paid in an aliquot amount and a performance bonus depending on the company's financial results and individual performance.
