What you'll do
You will utilize strong manufacturing engineering mindset and previous experience to take ownership for establishing, ramp-up and managing of Paint Shop in Volvo Car Košice plant. You will be responsible for recruiting and building your shop organization that will live up to our Lean fundamentals in their everyday tasks and closely collaborate with plant environment and global manufacturing network.
In doing so, you will be responsible for:
- Operations Management: Support the overall organizational strategy by developing and delivering operational plans and outcomes for a large portion of the business. Ensure products and processes meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Environmental standards. Operate according to company compliance standards (BMS, VCMS, ISO 9001 & 14001).

Leadership and Direction: Motivate and coach people to commit to the mission, vision, and values and do extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals. Plan and manage resources, recognize achievements and handle people management issues.

Manufacturing Methods/Processes Development: Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and lead the development and delivery of new manufacturing processes and methods to achieve outcomes that support the overall strategy.

Business Planning: Develop and gain agreement to annual business plans for a function or business area, ensuring alignment with strategy;

Budgeting: Take responsibility for setting and managing area budgets so they align with organizational strategy.
What you'll bring
- Previous working experience with managing a Paint shop in OEM automotive manufacturing, proven shop floor experience;
- World-class manufacturing and continuous improvement mindset;
- Extensive knowledge of methods, tools, processes, production systems, and ways of working in automotive production;
- Preferred engineering university education in Manufacturing, Automation, or related field;
- Process observation and confirmation;
- Experience with managing large teams within flexible manning systems;
- Ability to professionally communicate, verbally and in written form in both English and Slovak language;
- Demonstrated flexibility, being able to work under an organization in a transformation period, or green-field project.

Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 4.800 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
