At Manufacturing Engineering, you are part of a global production team that makes sure that the cars we build meet the highest expectations from our customers. In close collaboration with colleagues in other business units, we develop and implement flexible and efficient production systems with people in mind.
Commodity Body Structure is a section within the Manufacturing Engineering Body. The section develops and implements quality assured flexible and effective production systems in the Body in White plants. The section is divided into 3 groups, Underbody, Upperbody & Hang on Parts. The 3 groups are working cross functionally & project oriented, supporting all Volvo plants and projects globally. Within the Manufacturing Engineering group, we are now looking for a new member working as a Geometry Assurance Analyst (GAA) based in Kosice, Slovakia. The GAA position requires traveling from time to time during program phase.
What you will do
As a Geometry Assurance Analyst (GAA) you will be working during the complete car program, from early phase to implementation in the plant. You will be a part of a commodity engineering team and will contribute to the creation of the Geometry Systems for Product and Manufacturing processes.
• Lead, drive, analyse and report geometry deviations to solution within your geometry area.
• Coordinate and drive a "geometry team" during program launches.
• Contribute to the geometry work in early stages within new vehicle programs
• Secure the geometry performance of the product and the capability of production areas.
What you will bring
Required qualifications
- Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering or corresponding professional experience.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Meritorious
- Experience from geometry work and good knowledge of geometry systems.
- Good practical and theoretical knowledge about Volvo product development process.
- Experience and knowledge about geometry assurance work at external and/or internal suppliers.
- Specific knowledge: Process designer, Team center, CM4D (geometry-follow-up program), understanding and using the geometry simulation tool RD&T (Robust Design and Tolerance)

Compensation
Base Monthly Salary (Gross) for this position starts from 2200 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
